Partner: Mohammed Al Marri is a Partner in Qatar’s Litigation practice. Mohammed is one of two of our Qatar-based litigation lawyers who has full rights of audience before the courts of Qatar. Mohammed Al Marri is a highly experienced Qatari litigator who consults for both private and corporate clients in Qatar, since establishing his own practice in 2001. Prior to establishing his practice, Mohammed worked for the Ministry of the Interior and the Police Academy in Egypt. Mohammed has been involved in high profile litigation matters in relation to banking cases, commercial agencies, trademarks, construction, debt recovery, employment and property. Mohammed regularly advises clients and conducts all types of litigation and arbitration cases in Qatar including commercial, employment and banking. Mohammed is routinely involved in negotiations with Qatar’s regulatory authorities namely, The Qatar Central Bank, Qatar Exchange and various Ministries. He assists in obtaining regulatory approvals required for completing transactions for the firm’s clients and launching new products for banks and insurance companies in Qatar. When required Mohammed also facilitates the registration of complex security structures with the relevant authorities in Qatar.

Partner: Roy Georgiades is a Partner in Qatar’s Litigation practice. Roy is highly experienced in handling corporate disputes before the courts of Qatar and possesses an excellent track record of successfully advising international and local clients in disputes of various natures within the sectors of banking & finance, employment, real estate, construction & infrastructure, intellectual property and in commercial agency disputes in Qatar.  His practice also includes the provision of legal opinions and he advises clients on all types of litigation matters in Qatar and on civil law. Before joining the firm in 2012, Roy worked as a Legal Consultant at the Central Bank of Syria. Roy also has 4 years of experience as an associate at Sarkis Law Firm in Damascus, Syria. Roy is individually ranked in the Legal 500 2017 directory for Dispute Resolution in Qatar and forms a key member of the office’s Legal500 Tier 1-ranked litigation team.

Partner: Al Tamimi’s Dispute Resolution team in Qatar is led by partner Hani Al Naddaf who is a senior litigation lawyer with over 25 years’ experience in his field of expertise. Hani has built up the Qatar office’s reputable Dispute Resolution team over the past 11 years with the firm. His team are one of the strongest in Qatar consisting of 13 lawyers whom have managed to maintain top-tier rankings in both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 for a number of years. He is closely involved in most high-profile litigation matters in relation to construction, commercial agencies, trademarks, debt recovery, employment and real estate. Hani’s exceptional understanding of the principles of the Civil Code, and of Qatari law more generally, enables him to provide his clients with comprehensive legal opinions on the proper interpretation and application of relevant provisions of the law.
