Rana is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Corporate Commercial practice with an expertise in Civil Law, Companies Law, Capital Market Law, Construction Law, Labor Law, Intellectual Property Law, Oil and Gas and general corporate affairs. She gained her diversified experience by acting for national, international and governmental entities on major transactions in the GCC and Egypt.

Rana has almost 7 years of experience and advises on corporate commercial matters including, but not limited to, cross-border transactions, M&As, corporate structuring, regulatory, major initial public offerings, mandatory tender offers, listing and de-listing, and private placements, employment and disputes resolution matters

  • Advising Fawry on the IPO and listing on the EGX and the secondary offering of a 36% stake held by the majority shareholder for the value of USD 275,000,000.
  • Advising Helwan Cement Company on the sale of its white cement plant to Emaar Industries Company.
  • Advising Cleopatra Hospital Group on various acquisitions such as Queens Hospital and El Katib Hospital.
  • Advising Eagle Capital on the acquisition of Egyptian Media Group.
  • Advising Suez Bags Company on the sale of 96% of its shares to Mondi Industrial Bags B.V.
  • Purchase by the Acquirer of the shares of the Selling Shareholders representing 60% of shares of Star Light. Educational DMCC.
  • Sale of Eastern Company S.A.E.
  • Initial public offering of Cairo Investment and Real Estate Development (CIRA).
  • Joint Venture between Taqa Arabia and Castrol.
  • Representing Infinity Solar Energy SAE (Developer) in the second round of the Feed-in Tariff Program by which the developer developed three solar power plants located in Ben Ban, Egypt for a total capacity of130MW.
  • Participating in Bassem Youssef’s Arbitration Case.
  • Acting for an Egyptian construction company in a € 33.643.060 regarding the breach of a service contract with a German company referred to arbitration under CRCICA rules.
  • Advising a number of renewable energy developers and consortia in connection with the development of 50MW Solar PV or 50 MW Wind power plants under the newly introduced renewable energy Feed-in Tariffs programme and major European Companies in connection with wind power plants in Toulouse, France.
