Biography

Hannah is a Senior Associate in the  Sports & Events practice at Al Tamimi & Company, based in our Dubai office. Hannah has over 6 years’ experience advising on sports, events, media and general commercial matters.

Hannah has spent the majority of her career working in-house at Liverpool Football Club and CAA Eleven, the exclusive agent of UEFA for its national team football competitions.

Hannah has worked on a variety of commercial matters, including drafting and negotiating key sponsorship agreements and rights and benefits packages, high value media rights agreements, retail, distribution and licensing agreements on a global and territory specific basis, as well as a number of general commercial agreements required across all facets of business..

Having advised on both legal and commercial aspects during her previous positions, she is well placed to consider not only the legal risk, but also the commercial advantages of business decision-making.

  • General Commercial Agreements: drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements across all facets of business including for the procurement and sale of goods and services, e-commerce, competition terms and conditions and technology.
  • Retail and Licensing: managing, drafting and negotiating retail, distribution and licensing agreements on a global and territory specific basis across all categories of products.
  • Sponsorship: advising, drafting and negotiating key sponsorship agreements on a global and territory specific basis. Working closely with commercial teams across all departments to advise on deal structure and to identify potential legal risks.
  • Broadcast and Media Rights: drafting and negotiating key high value media rights agreements on a territory exclusivity basis.
  • Event hosting: drafting and negotiating venue hire agreements, hospitality services, ticketing and other operations agreements.
  • Intellectual Property: managing and overseeing intellectual property registration, maintenance and enforcement strategy. Handling all related commercial agreements (such as licensing arrangements) and managing infringement actions, including sending cease and desist letters and managing litigation.
  • Procurement: establishing a formal procurement process and advising on contracts for the procurement of key infrastructure, goods and services (such as buildings, construction, equipment, utilities and various other goods and services).
  • Ticketing and hospitality: managing and advising the relevant teams on the sale of tickets. Drafting and negotiating private box agreements, hospitality tickets and season ticket terms and conditions. Drafting terms and condition of entry to venues. Advising on disputes and breaches of terms and conditions of entry to venues.
  • Governance: advising businesses on material legal, commercial and operational issues.
