Faisal is an Associate with the Corporate/Commercial department where he advises multinational clients on corporate law, commercial transactions and regulatory issues concerning foreign investment in Kuwait and in neighboring GCC nations.
Prior to joining Al Tamimi & Company, Faisal clerked for Ron L. Meyers and Associates in New York City, where he assisted the Senior Partner in real estate transactions and finance. His work involved helping clients through every step of real estate purchases and sales in New York City, including navigating regulatory hurdles, overcoming landlord/tenant issues and negotiating with the various parties involved in land and property transfers.
During law school, Faisal managed a real estate investment fund, focused on acquisition of rehab properties and converting these rehab properties to turn-key rentals. Prior to law school, Faisal worked for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as an Immigration Analyst, managing asylum cases of detained or recently released asylum applicants. During his time with DHS, Faisal was also assigned to overseas assignments in Baghdad, Iraq and Amman, Jordan, where Faisal was responsible for assisting in background checks of Special Immigrant Visa applicants and their families, who were involved in aiding the United States military during and post Operation Iraqi Freedom. Prior to his employment with the Department of Homeland Security, Faisal served in the United States Army.
