Biography

Ahmed is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Corporate Commercial practice. Ahmed gained his diversified experience by acting for national, international and governmental entities on major transactions in the GCC and Egypt.

With almost 8 years of experience, Amin advises on corporate commercial matters including, but not limited to, cross- border transactions, M&As, corporate structuring, regulatory, capital market, employment and disputes resolution matters.

Recently, Ahmed has been awarded a fully funded diploma in International Arbitration by the Africa Arbitration Academy in London in recognition of his proven record in dispute resolution as a young practitioner.

Prior to joining Al Tamimi, Ahmed worked for two leading law firms in Egypt and Qatar.

  • Advised an international construction group on a multi-million infrastructure transaction in Kuwait.
  • Represented and advised prominent multinational companies in their competition filings before the Kuwait Competition Authority.
  • Acted as a local Kuwait counsel and advised a renowned international construction company in its multi- million dollars ICC Arbitration disputes against a Kuwaiti state- owned company.
  • Represented Seller in KD 100 million private equity transaction in Kuwait.
  • Acted as local counsel for a Qatari energy company in QAR 1 Billion IPO transaction in Qatar.
  • Acted as local counsel for a Qatari governmental entity in USD 13 billion international bonds issuance.
  • Represented a buyer in acquiring assets in Qatar with an aggregate market value of QAR 24.5 billion.
  • Represented a buyer in acquiring an Egyptian Oil and Gas company.
  • Represented a listed logistic company in increase of capital transaction through public offering, which included sale of rights issue in Qatar.
  • Advised a prominent Qatari pharmaceutical family LLC on its transformation to a listed joint stock company.
