Luay Al Omari is a Senior Associate and a leading team member within the Litigation practice at Al Tamimi Jordan office.
He has over 24 years of experience in dispute resolution measures including but not limited to litigation and has formerly worked at reputable local law firms as well as an in-house legal counsellor.
Luay’s strength lies in is his wealthy knowledge in various regional and local laws and regulations and vast experience in procedural court formalities. He has been a qualified practising lawyer in Jordan since 1993.
Luay has worked in various fields of commercial and civil law including providing client comprehensive advice as well representing clients before local courts and authorities. The most significant practiced areas of law are banking, employment, financial crimes and contractual disputes. Luay has also represented clients in real estate, insurance, customs and tax related disputes.
- The Central Bank of Jordan; The Jordanian monetary authority and supervisor of all existing banks in Jordan, on a due diligence project in connection with the evaluation of local lawyer’s performance in court cases of marginal dealings and other banking related lawsuits.
- Arab Potash Holding Company; a Jordan-based mining company that manufactures and supplies minerals for use in the agricultural and chemical industries, on an flood-gate of labour claims in connection with health and life insurance policies.
- Bank Al Etihad; a Jordan-based financial and banking services institution, on the dishonoring of the terms of a high value letter of credit.
