Biography

  • Yasmeen has over (10) years experience advising on multiple areas of law. She has particular expertise in corporate law, capital markets, and non-banking financial services.
  • Yasmeen also has participated in drafting a number of laws and decisions regulating financial markets, governance, and investment climate. She has particularly been an active partner in enhancing business environment in Egypt and has collaborated with international organizations in this regard.
  • Prior to joining Al Tamimi she was also a public prosecutor at the Administrative Prosecution Authority, she was a corporate lawyer at a multinational law firm. Additionally, she joined the general department for legislations and regulatory instructions at the Financial Regulatory Authority in 2017.

  • Drafting the 2018 amendments to the Executive Regulations of the Capital Market Law No. 95/1992.
  • Drafting the amendments of Micro Finance Law.
  • Drafting the amendments of the Central Depository Law.
  • Drafting Green Bonds regulations.
  • Drafting a noteworthy regulatory report with regard to the establishment of the new CSD Company in Egypt.
  • Handling the establishment of the new CSD Company in Egypt.
  • Coordinating with the FRA with regard to amending the Collateral/Movable Guarantees Law.
