Biography

Stephany Malhame is a bilingual Legal Director in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice of Al Tamimi & Company, with a particular focus on restructuring, insolvency, and complex banking and finance disputes across the UAE and the wider region.

Stephany advises financial institutions, corporates, and stakeholders on contentious and non-contentious restructuring matters, including distressed debt enforcement, cross-border recovery strategies, shareholder disputes arising in insolvency contexts, and regulatory aspects of financial distress. Her practice spans multi-jurisdictional mandates involving the UAE, Qatar, Lebanon, and other regional forums.

She has extensive experience acting in high-value commercial and banking litigation before the Dubai Courts and the Qatar Financial Centre Courts, as well as advising on insolvency-related disputes involving financial institutions and corporate entities. Her work frequently involves complex cross-border financing arrangements, capital markets exposure, and restructuring scenarios requiring coordinated strategies across jurisdictions.

Prior to joining Al Tamimi & Company, Stephany practised at a reputable regional law firm in Lebanon and Qatar and held legal roles within two leading multinational companies in the UAE. This combination of private practice and in-house experience enables her to provide commercially focused advice in distressed and restructuring situations.
