Biography

  • Sally is an Australian qualified lawyer within the Employment & Incentives practice which comprises the largest team of specialist employment lawyers in the Middle East.
  • Sally advises a wide range of local and international clients on contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, onshore and within the various free zones, including the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
  • She regularly assist clients on all aspects of employment and immigration law in the UAE ranging from recruitment, employment transfers, drafting and advising on employment contracts, company policies and procedures, company restructures including mergers and acquisitions, disciplinary grievances and terminations.
  • Sally has a particular interest and provides tailored and bespoke advice in the following sectors i) Retail & Consumer; and ii) Sports & Event Management.

Recent Experience

  • Undertaking an assessment of a leading healthcare provider’s UAE operations’ HR policies and incentive plan changes and advising on risks and potential sanctions in any areas of non-compliance.
  • Assisting a global asset management company on the transfer of employees from their onshore entity to their DIFC free zone entity and advising on the implications of end of service/ DEWS entitlements.
  • Advising a leading airline company on secondment and dual employment arrangements.
  • Assisting a leading marketing and public relations firm with the drafting of a settlement agreement, negotiating settlement terms and advising on the post termination restrictions and obligations
