Biography

Mehrul is an Associate in the Banking and Finance department at Al Tamimi & Company and has experience in a wide range of areas within the field with a strong focus on corporate lending, aircraft finance, trade finance and security creation in the UAE and the DIFC. She has advised corporate clients and financial institutions on marketing, offering and providing financial products and services to customers in the DIFC and the UAE. She also has a particular expertise in advising financial institutions on the UAE Central Bank’s consumer protection regulation and standards.

• Advising Apollo Global Management, Inc. on a USD 400 million deal to acquire an 11.1% minority stake in ALDAR Investment Properties, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi-listed Aldar Properties PJSC.
• Acting for SMBC Aviation Capital Limited as the UAE counsel in connection with asset sale and leaseback of several Airbus A320-200 aircraft.

• Acting as counsel for Saudi National Bank, United Arab Emirates in relation to consumer protection project to ensure compliance with the UAE Central Bank’s consumer protection regulation and standards.

• Drafting a diverse array of security documents under UAE, DIFC and ADGM laws.
