Biography

Lina Samaha is an associate in the Dispute Resolution practice based in Jeddah. Lina has a range of experience in litigation, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and other relevant aspects of law, including providing pre-litigation advice, as well as advising on litigation and ADR strategy and procedures, enforceability of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, and investigations and violations in connection with the different KSA Laws. She also has experience in advising on strategic government regulatory projects and corporate commercial mandates.

Lina is a graduate from Dar Al-Hekma University in Jeddah and is admitted to the Egyptian Bar Association since 2019. She is fluent in both Arabic and English.

Dispute Resolution and Relevant Experience:

  • Successfully advised and represented a major contracting company in KSA in an arbitration dispute valued at SAR 130M.
  • Successfully advised and represented a ticketing and merchandise supplier in the sports sector in connection with arbitration disputes against certain KSA football clubs.
  • Advising one of the biggest merchant families in KSA valued at a net worth of SAR 2 Billion on matters relating to shareholders’ disputes, family disputes, a cross-jurisdictional meditation settlement, and group restructuring.
  • Advising and representing multiple clients in construction arbitration disputes against project owners, main contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Advising one of the leading regional contracting groups in relation to an investigation by the General Authority for Competition and potential violations to the Competition Law in KSA.
  • Advising a contracting company in relation to an investigation by the Ministry of Commerce for potential violations of the Anti-Concealment Law, including training the company’s personnel for the investigation.
  • Successfully advised and represented aircraft owners in claims against the lessee’s corporate guarantor which led to concluding a favourable settlement arrangement for our clients.
  • Successfully advised and represented a leading construction equipment rental company in recovering its assets.

Regulatory and Government Projects Experience:

  • Leading Al Tamimi & Company team and being the focal point of contact in one of the major governmental projects concerning the establishment of a Special Zones Centre.
  • Handling and managing the legal workstream for a key KSA Royal Commissions project.
  • Advising one of the largest real estate development companies regarding their application to establish a Special Zone in KSA by assisting in creating the legal framework and drafting the relevant agreements, laws and regulations.
  • Being the focal point of contact for different KSA government clients.
