Biography

At Al Tamimi & Company, Ilias is part of the Banking team and advises on DIFC and ADGM investment fund matters, including the establishment and operation of funds and management entities, and on related financial regulatory issues, including DFSA and FSRA compliance.

Ilias advises on the structuring, formation, fundraising and operation of alternative investment funds across asset classes including private equity, private credit, distressed debt, real estate and infrastructure. His work includes advising asset managers and institutional investors on fund structures, drafting and negotiating fund documentation such as limited partnership agreements and offering materials, managing investor closings and reviewing side letters. He regularly advises on fund service provider arrangements and has experience acting for borrowers in fund financing transactions.
