Government and Court Referred Pro bono cases

The Government & Court Referred Pro Bono Initiative aims to support community wellbeing and access to justice by providing pro bono legal services to governmental entities and individuals referred through courts and official channels.

The initiative supports governmental entities by providing pro bono legal assistance on matters related to community benefit, social development, and initiatives aimed at empowering and improving society. This may include assisting with legal projects, drafting support, legal reviews, or taking a leading role in initiatives that contribute toward community development and public benefit.

The initiative also involves onboarding and supporting legal cases assigned directly by courts and official legal support programs for individuals who are unable to afford legal assistance. These cases are referred through official channels rather than through direct contact with the client.

The initiative includes participation in and support of court and legal support programs such as Shoor, DIFC Courts Pro Bono and Triage Programs, Dubai Courts Legal Aid Department (DLAD), DMCC, ADGM, Sanad, and similar governmental and judicial initiatives focused on improving access to legal assistance and community legal support.

The legal matters supported under the initiative may vary depending on the nature of the referral and can include criminal matters, disputes, employment matters, real estate matters, and other legal cases requiring assistance and representation.

Through the initiative, legal professionals provide legal advice, representation, drafting support, and legal assistance to help support access to justice, strengthen community support systems, and contribute toward responsible and community-focused legal services.

The project aims to support vulnerable individuals, strengthen collaboration with governmental and judicial entities, and contribute toward initiatives that positively impact and empower the wider community.
