Dubai, UAE: Al Tamimi & Company has been named Regional Law Firm of the Year, Large Practice after securing the prestigious award at the Middle East Legal Awards held in Dubai on Thursday 11th May, 2017. Al Tamimi was praised for its commitment to regional expansion, a key strategy of the firm to ensure that they are close to their clients doing business in the region.
Senior Associate, Christina Sochacki won the highly anticipated Associate of the Year award for her stellar efforts in assisting to raise the profile and client base of the firm’s Healthcare Group. The Healthcare group works with clients in the sector across the region and has grown from strength to strength over the past three years.
Al Tamimi was also highly commended in four categories including Employment Team of the Year, Corporate Team of the Year, Litigation Team of the Year and Real Estate Team of the Year, and was shortlisted in a record 12 categories. The Middle East Legal Awards which are jointly hosted by Legal Week and the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Middle East chapter have fast become the region’s premier legal awards and they continue to attract the best of the best.
Success at the awards ceremony follows a strong 12 months for Al Tamimi. The firm achieved excellent results in leading legal directories, Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 which were recently announced with more rankings and mentioned lawyers than previous years. It also recently launched a new Tax practice to assist clients with the new legislation taking effect in the GCC from 2018 and expanded its presence with a new office in Al Khobar, KSA bringing the total number of offices to 17 in nine countries.
