Read NowAl Tamimi & Company sponsored the first edition of the CDRC Vienna – the IBA-VIAC Mediation and Negotiation Competition, which took place on 1-4 July 2015. The competition was described as a ‘platform to build skills, experience and brilliance in this field and to exchange, learn and grow with the stars of the world of Consensual Dispute Resolution’. This was facilitated through expert feedback from top mediators and negotiators who also provided invaluable training. The events also served as a great networking opportunity for its participants.
Laila El Shentenawi, Senior Associate was invited to co-train with CEDR the competition participants on effective negotiations following which she acted as an expert assessor for the competition and was in the good company of other distinguished assessors, such as Mr. Mauro Rubino- Sammartano, Mr. Joe Tirado, Mr.. Jil Ahdab, Mr. Jawad Sarwana, Mr. Micheal Mcilwarth and Prof. Peter J. McGovern. 16 teams partook in the competition which was based on the 2015 Willem C. Vis Moot Problem. The winners were the students from Saint Joseph University’s team, Lebanon.
