Biography

Tala Obeidat is an Associate and part of Al Tamimi & Company’s Litigation practice in Jordan.

Tala has an experience with preparing statements of claims and statements of defense. That, in addition to advising on various employment matters for Jordan, such as on compliance and regulatory, as well as advising on criminal and civil aspects of potential and ongoing disputes.

Tala has also advised and assisted on multiple intellectual property and commercial matters, including intellectual property rights licensing and assignments, contentious intellectual property work and due diligence transactions. Tala also has an experience in working and following up with the registration of various intellectual property right applications, such as trademarks and patents, before the relevant Ministries.

Tala also handles matters relating to the registration of companies, which includes drafting various required key documents such as board and shareholders meeting minutes, authorization letters and other incorporation documents for private companies and all other types of companies.

Recent Experience

Drafting legislation amendments recommended pursuant to a review of the Securities sector in Jordan conducted for European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Assisting in the drafting of an amicable settlement agreement with relation to construction dispute.
Advising on the regulation of private recruitment agencies in Jordan.
Assisting on opposition and cancellation matters with the Trademark Registrar.
Assisted in advising a Payment Software Provider on intellectual property protection and regulatory matters.
