Read NowSohaila is a UK qualified Senior Counsel with over 15 years’ experience practising in the UK, UAE and Bahrain.
Sohaila started her career working as a banking lawyer with magic circle law firms and has over the years gained diverse and broad experience in many fields including corporate, commercial, governance, employment, regulatory and real estate. She has also had the opportunity to work as in-house senior counsel in the energy and real estate sectors in Bahrain allowing her to gain a wealth of experience and a unique perspective.
Sohaila has worked for a multitude of clients including both domestic and international private and public companies and has advised on some of the most significant projects in Bahrain both in-house and while working in private practice.
Sohaila qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 2006 whilst working for a UK magic circle law firm. She later moved to the Middle East working for another magic circle law firm in the UAE prior to moving to Bahrain where she worked for top tier regional and international law firms. Prior to joining Al Tamimi & Company in 2022, Sohaila worked as in-house senior legal counsel for a national energy company.
Sohaila is an award-winning author for her contributions to LexisNexis and regularly participates in training and mentoring programmes.
