Rama Za’tara is an Associate and part of Al Tamimi & Company’s Corporate Commercial practice in Kuwait. Prior to joining the Kuwait office in October of 2020, she was an associate at Al Tamimi & Company’s Jordan office. Rama has worked on high profile public private partnership transactions and securities offerings in Jordan and advised and acted on behalf of clients in various corporate and commercial dealings, including due diligence transactions, Mergers and Acquisitions, transfer and purchase of shares and equity, corporate set-up, and licensing and restructurings.

Rama is also experienced in corporate civil and criminal litigation, where she has drafted and reviewed statements of claim, statements of response, evidence lists and defence and objection memoranda on numerous criminal and civil disputes. She has also advised numerous clients on wide ranging maritime disputes and employment issues, including the handling of amicable settlements.

  • Advised clients on agency agreements and relevant registration requirements in Kuwait.
  • Set up and registered a multimillion-dollar investment funding company in Jordan and assisted in drafting all constitutional and transactional agreements (investee agreements, shareholder loan agreements, etc.).
  • Part of the team representing an investor, in the series B funding of a Jordanian tech company, which owns and operates the largest Arabic search engine globally.
  • Part of the team advising Jo Petrol on its 100% acquisition of Hydron’s operations in Jordan in a multi-million dollar deal.
  • Part of the cross-office team involved in advising Eagle Hills on its multimillion dollar real estate development and hospitality projects across Amman and Aqaba (including the St. Regis Hotel & Residence and Marsa Zayed).
