Biography

Ola joined the Kuwait office of Al Tamimi & Company in 2022 and was appointed Head of the local Corporate Commercial practice.  Ola is a bilingual passionate and motivated legal professional with an extensive global history of providing advice and counsel, M&A guidance, market entry support and legal representation on corporate and commercial matters.

Prior to joining Al Tamimi & Company, Ola has led the International Legal Department at leading law firms in Kuwait for over 15 years and has accumulated a broad range of experience in the areas of corporate governance, doing business in Kuwait, M&A transactions, government tenders, data protection, and labour law matters.

Additionally, Ola is known for her vast skills in navigating the matrix and complexities of Kuwaiti legal structures and regimes. Throughout her international experience with leading UK and US law firms, Ola has successfully represented and advised a wide array of national and international Clients.

  • Assisted and advised an American video on demand and streaming platform regarding broadcast operations in Kuwait. Addressed licensing and permits, data protection and processing, content compliance, IP, advertising and promotion rules and regulations, regulatory matters, subscriber agreements and; consumer protection laws and regulations.
  • Advising and assisting Al Rajihi Islamic Bank with all their legal inquiries in the State of Kuwait and opening execution files and procedures with customers and navigating them through settlement of a KD4.5 Million facility.
  • Advised a leading online food ordering business regarding a potential data breach and procedures to be undertaken vis-à-vis suppliers, customers, and government.
  • Advised a UK based military company regarding the legality of offering services via internet calling using VSAT technology and data security, processing and storage.
  • Advised Chanel regarding their franchise in Kuwait, data protection laws and regulations and online business.
  • Advised The Kuwait Styrene Company, partly owned by Dow Chemical on compliance matters, dispute resolution and corporate governance.
  • Provided advice and opinion to the American Heart Association: regarding legal aspects of operations.
  • Advised IQVIA Inc. on health, medicine and marketing rules and regulations in the State of Kuwait.
  • Advised Booz Allen Hamilton regarding doing business in Kuwait.
  • Advised Burckhardt Compression AG regarding their Distributorship Agreement in Kuwait and non-compete provisions under Kuwait law.
  • Assisted Joan Al Kuwait Marine Services and Logistics Company KSCC in relation to all their legal matters in Kuwait from employment to commercial agreements to compliance and government relations.
  • Advised VAMED Management and Services GmbH in regard to the establishment of a 100% KDIPA entity and related matters.
