Biography
Michael has over four years of experience working on mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting, banking and finance transactions, contract drafting, company secretarial matters, compliance and black economic empowerment transactions.
Michael has also advised in various sectors including food and agriculture, banking and finance, energy and renewables, information technology and telecommunications, healthcare, private wealth.
He is an admitted attorney in the Republic of South Africa and prior to joining Al Tamimi he was employed at a leading South African Corporate and Commercial law firm.
Michael’s work has been published in Thomson Reuters and the South African Without Prejudice law magazine.

- An international group of companies in the digital payments sector, on its corporate restructuring and the acquisition of the group by an offshore investment company.
- A premier agribusiness and food company with its day-to-day legal requirements including company secretarial assistance, opinions, contract reviews, company policy reviews, labour disputes, long term employment incentive schemes and share buy-backs.
- A prominent holding company operating in the treatment and manufacturing of luxury accessories, the beneficiation of electronic waste and various other services relating to the refining and recovery of precious metals with establishing a local business presence and obtaining the necessary regulatory authorisations to conduct its business.
- A non-profit company specialising in the development and maintenance of digital health information systems with a legal opinion on the use of and ownership in intellectual property relating to computer programs.
- A prominent financial institution based in the United Kingdom on a cross border trade finance facility transaction.
