The latest edition of Law Update focuses on Africa, a territory that continues to be an attractive business and investment destination.
Like the rest of the world, Africa is still re-building from the impact of COVID-19, however, there continues to be an optimistic view of the opportunities the continent presents. An example of the appetite for investment into Africa was captured in a report we commissioned, titled Legal Leaders in MENA. Mariam El Alaily is an Associate in the Corporate Commercial Department in Cairo.
Mariam has experience in M&A and capital markets transactions. She has assisted a large number of clients, both in Egypt and abroad, in drafting transaction documents, due diligence processes and dealing with regulatory bodies in the context of M&A and capital markets transactions.
In addition, Mariam has worked with UNCTAD on mapping Investment Treaties, and she is a contributor of the Doing Business Report issued by the World Bank Group, a yearly publication on doing business in countries across the globe.
Prior to joining Al Tamimi, Mariam acquired legal experience in both Egypt and France.
