Biography
Laura is a Senior Associate with 17 years PQE experience, 15 of which has been in Abu Dhabi. She is admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales and Scotland.
Laura has considerable experience advising the leading master developers and Government-related entities on some of the most high-profile real estate projects in the UAE.
She regularly advises on a broad range of real estate matters, from the acquisition of freehold and other forms of property interests, to advising owners and occupiers of all types of leased property, as well as advising operators and owners on their high-profile hospitality projects.
Recent Experience
- Acting for a Government body advising on aspects of property management agreement and leasing services agreement for large property development. Drafting suite of standard form lease agreements for occupational tenants of commercial office space.
- Advising Modon Properties on its flagship Hudayriyat Island
- Advising a high-profile Government-related entity on the acquisition and development of a world-class $1bn, 23mn sqm master planned community in Abu Dhabi.
- Acting for investment purchaser (name confidential) giving real estate advice on joint venture agreement for Abu Dhabi based investment purchase, comprising specific advice on usufruct and musataha rights, registration aspects and due diligence
- Advising a Mubadala and Gulf Related joint venture entity in respect of the sub-letting and operation of “The Galleria”, a high-end retail and dining concept at Al Maryah Island.
