Biography

Hamood is an Associate in Al Tamimi’s Oman office focusing on dispute resolution and litigation.

Hamood is an Omani national and his experience revolves around handling civil, criminal, commercial and labour matters and cases.

Hamood completed four years of working in the profession. He started as a Trainee lawyer at Khalifa Al-Hinai Law Firm and completed his training period before joining Al Tamimi in 2016.

Hamood has successfully dealt with many important matters (cases) in the administrative, penal, commercial and insurance sectors. He prepares statement of claims and memorandums at all stages of litigation in the Sultanate of Oman. He also deals with various intellectual property rights issues such as registration and renewal of trademarks, filing Oppositions and registering patents, and provides legal advice in this aspect.

  • Microsoft Office Company – Oman: Appear in court on behalf of the Company in the Sultanate’s courts; for a labour case and obtain a ruling in favour of the client company.
  • Employees of Sultan Qaboos University: Appear in court on behalf of the University employees against an administrative decision that is issued by the University to refrain from modifying their job classes and obtain a ruling cancelling the decision and awarding more than 80 employees the due classes.
  • AIG MEA Limited: Appear in court on behalf of the Company to claim compensation under the insurance policy and obtain a ruling from the Supreme Court in favor of the Company to dismiss the claim and exempt it from liability for compensation
  • Weatherford Drilling International: Appear in court on behalf of the Regional Director and authorized signatory of Weatherford Drilling Company in a criminal matter and obtain an acquittal
  • Ferrero International Company (Kinder): Filing an opposition on behalf of Ferrero Company, the owner of (Kinder) trademark, and obtaining a ruling to accept the opposition on its form and substance for the client.
