Read NowAhmad is an associate in the firm’s dispute resolution department and has four years of post-qualification experience in the fields of corporate law, commercial contracts, litigation and arbitration. He advises and represents clients in various sectors, such as Oil and Gas, industrial development, insurance, Maritime, and technology, in domestic and cross-border disputes.
Before joining Al Tamimi & Co., Ahmad gained considerable work experience from a series of reputable law firms, corporate and international organizations, where he drafted and reviewed bilingual local and international agreements, handled corporate governance and compliance matters, and litigation matters. He also served as a legal officer and program coordinator at the United Nations for Industrial Development Organization as well as at GEMS Education, where he managed different projects, reviewed contracts, handled internal investigations, and ensured compliance with laws and policies.
Ahmad has a master’s degree in international law from Menoufia University, where he studied topics such as international criminal law, private international law, and international contracts. He is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration and has completed courses on alternative dispute resolution, contract drafting, and legal English. He is a native Arabic speaker, fluent in English, and has a beginner level in French.
Ahmad is also involved in various extracurricular activities, such as being a CMN researcher fellow at the Centre for International Law Research and Policy, where he provides knowledge-transfer and capacity development services to national and international actors in the fields of international criminal and human rights law.
