Ministerial Decree No. 292 of 2025 — Maximum Actual and Overtime Hours for Preparatory, Complementary, Guarding, and Cleaning Work

Requirements

  • Defines preparatory work (pre-shift setup, machine/automation checks) required to enable daily operations efficiently.
  • Defines complementary work (post/parallel tasks necessary to avoid technical accumulation or disruption, e.g., finishing, cooling, final digital documentation, urgent continuity reports).
  • Defines guarding work to include physical, electronic, and cyber-security functions ensuring safety of people, assets, and sensitive data.
  • Defines cleaning work to include sanitization of premises and equipment to maintain a safe, healthy workplace per OSH standards.
  • Sets the maximum actual working hours at 48 hours per week for these categories.
  • Caps overtime at 12 hours per week for these categories, subject to Labor Law Article 121.
