Find out moreWelcome to the Saudi Arabia focus edition of Law Update.
One of the key markets in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) that continues to lead from the front is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). As the largest country in the Middle East and the 18th largest economy in the world, the progress KSA continues to make is underpinned by its Vision 2030 that envisions developing the country as an investment powerhouse and hub that ultimately connects Asia, Europe, and Africa. Given Saudi Arabia’s significance to the regional economy, our team of experts have prepared a range of pertinent articles that provide insights into new laws, regulations, and the legal landscape in the Kingdom.
This edition will provide you with an up-to-date guide on matters such as; the framework issued by the Saudi Central Bank on IT governance, the anti-corruption landscape under Vision 2030; we also provide practical tips for dispute avoidance. This is only a snapshot; there are many more articles within the KSA focus section for you to read, which we hope you will find valuable and enjoyable.
Read the editionWith the 2011 IBA Conference in Dubai still fresh in our minds, we want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended our IBA events for taking the time out of your busy schedules to join us and for your continued support of the firm.
We are very proud of the success of each event we hosted and are delighted with the turnout at our ‘Arabian Nights’ cocktail reception held on the lawns of Jumeirah Beach Hotel, in front of the picturesque Burj Al Arab. With over 900 guests in attendance, predominately from international firms, the reception was a resounding success and was an excellent opportunity for our lawyers to develop fruitful relationships with lawyers from a range of jurisdictions across the world. The event also doubled as an opportunity for us to officially launch our new logo and brand – we do hope you like it. We are pleased to include a collage of some of the photographs taken on the evening for you to enjoy.
We look forward to building upon our existing relationships, and getting to know those of you who we met for the first time over the coming months. We will of course be in Dublin for next year’s IBA conference and look forward to catching up with many of you there.
Wishing you all the very best for a happy, safe and successful 2012.
