Biography

Walid is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution Team and has been a member of the Egyptian Bar Association since 2003.

Prior to joining Al Tamimi & Company, Walid had over 20 years of post-qualification experience, including 5 years as an In-house Counsel at a prominent International Construction Group in the GCC and 15 years in private practice at well-reputed law firms in Oman, UAE, and Egypt.

Recent Experience

  • Held the position of Acting Head of Litigation at a leading International Construction Group in GCC, where he handled multi-jurisdiction Commercial litigation before Local Courts in Egypt, UAE, KSA, Qatar, and Oman.
  • Analyzed legal situations in hundreds of claims, developed a litigation strategy suggested alternative solutions, and obtained provisional attachment court Orders freezing assets owned by debtors worth Multimillions of USD.
  • Advised clients on a wide range of labor relations, compensation, and benefits, restructuring, and downsizing matters, developed and reviewed Internal policies for various clients in GCC and Egypt in compliance with local regulations, conducted internal legal investigations, and advised on Compliance and Whistleblowing issues.
  • Involved in negotiating and drafting Properties Development Contracts in Egypt worth Multibillions of USD with the Government/Ministry of Housing.
  • Assisted investors in establishing their new companies, offices, and branches and running businesses in Muscat, Dubai, and Cairo.
