Raneem has experience in complex, high-value international arbitration cases, particularly in the construction and energy sectors, under the auspices of the major arbitral institutions (including ICSID, DIAC, ICC, PCA, and UNCITRAL). She has extensive knowledge of the challenges faced by employers, contractors, and consultants in construction disputes arising under the FIDIC Silver, Red, and White Books.
Raneem is also well-versed in all stages of Jordanian litigation and enforcement, regularly advising and representing clients in a broad spectrum of matters before Jordanian courts. Her litigation experience extends to cross-border litigation matters, wherein she advises on both procedural and substantive issues involving both common and civil law jurisdictions.
Prior to joining Al Tamimi, Raneem acted for States in international investor-State arbitrations. Her international law experience also includes having assisted a former Judge of the International Court of Justice in various international disputes. She has also advised the European Union and the World Bank on Jordanian legislative reform, with a focus on women’s rights.
