Biography

  • Melissa is a qualified Solicitor of England and Wales. She is an associate within the Employment & Incentives practice which comprises the largest team of specialist employment lawyers in the Middle East.
  • Melissa acts on a wide range of employment matters from hiring through to termination across the UAE including its multiple free zones. She regularly assists clients with on all aspects of local law including but not limited to employment contracts, company policies and procedures, corporate restructures, internal investigations, terminations including end of service benefits and pension related matters.
  • Melissa has a particular interest in the Defence & Security and Sports & Event Management sectors and provides specialist advice which enables her to provide tailored and bespoke advice to these clients.

Recent Experience

  • Assisting a multinational telecommunication company in respect of a complex global restructure.
  • Advising a global financial institution on the implications of a dual contract arrangement between the UAE and France.
  • Advising a leading defence & security organisationon enforcement of restrictive covenants across the UAE.
  • Advising a well known event management company on engagement of personnel in the UAE on a temporary and permanent basis
