Gulsun is a UK-qualified lawyer within the Corporate Structuring department in the Dubai office. She advises on corporate matters including local and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, company incorporations, restructuring and liquidations.
Her expertise includes carrying out corporate due diligence, pre-closing restructuring and post-closing implementation, providing structuring and restructuring advice, negotiation and drafting constitutional documents for company establishments and shareholder agreements. She is also specialised in foreign direct investment projects and advises clients on the process, regulatory and compliance requirements.
She is a member of the Al Tamimi Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practice.
Prior to joining Al Tamimi, Gulsun worked for 3 years in the contracts and legal department of a very well-known construction company; handling mostly construction claims and construction disputes.
She was particularly involved in providing legal opinions and advice in relation to the UAE Law, in the fields of construction law, civil law and commercial law. She was also involved in arbitral proceedings, drafting submissions and witness statements.
