Biography

Yara is a Saudi Arabian national with a bachelors degree in Business Administration from The American University of Beirut. She also has an LLM in Strategic Marketing from Imperial College of London, along with the GDL, LPC, and LLM in Commercial Legal Practice from BPP University London.

Yara has worked at Digital Media startups, Marketing firms, interned at Lebanese law firms, and co-founded an e-commerce website.

Managed inheritance planning and family wealth for clients.
Successfully set up foundations for client’s future family planning.
Successfully assisted various clients in multi-million dollar income tax and withholding tax disputes before the Qatari Court of Appeal, and acted for various multinational corporations in ongoing disputes before the Court of Cassation.
Advised a prominent state-owned multinational media enterprise on the withholding tax implications of its worldwide operations.
Advised a world-leading Silicon Valley tech company on withholding tax considerations applicable to its operations across the Middle East and North Africa, including Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Morocco, Qatar, and Kuwait.
Advised a high-profile international sports personality on the tax implications of various image rights arrangements
Advised international banks and financiers on the tax implications of various financing arrangements in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the wider MENA region.
