Children of Tomorrow

The Children of Tomorrow program was launched to raise awareness of the laws governing the welfare, safety, and rights of children in the UAE, and addressing practical considerations related to safeguarding procedures within public and private schools across the UAE.

Initially, the program aimed to connect key stakeholders and governmental entities, including the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Education, Community Development Authority, and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, to collaboratively address child protection issues and explore effective approaches to strengthening safeguards against child abuse.

As child protection frameworks and school safeguarding procedures evolved, the program expanded its focus toward delivering legal awareness initiatives that empower students, parents, educators, safeguarding leads, school counsellors, and academic institutions. The program aims to enhance understanding of child protection laws, digital safety, family-related legal matters, and other laws that may directly impact the wellbeing and quality of life of children and young people.

The program delivers tailored legal awareness sessions led by qualified lawyers, designed to communicate key legal concepts in a practical and accessible manner while promoting responsible behaviour, community awareness, and understanding of individual rights and responsibilities. Sessions are customised for students, school staff, and parents, and may also address additional topics requested by schools where aligned with the program’s objectives.

Topics covered through the program include:

  • Child Protection Law
  • Bullying, Cyberbullying, and Digital Safety
  • Law, Leadership, and Life Skills for Tomorrow’s Leaders
  • Legal Awareness for Future Entrepreneurs
  • Intellectual Property (IP) Basics for Students & Educators
  • Tax Law for Senior Students
  • Family Law and Custody Awareness for Guardians & Educators
  • Financial Literacy

In addition to legal awareness sessions, the program promotes inclusivity, community engagement, and personal development through a range of initiatives, including:

  • Reading & Storytelling Sessions: Inclusive sessions designed to nurture literacy, imagination, and confidence among children and children of determination in supportive and accessible environments.
  • Little Lawyer Initiative: An interactive experience providing children and children of determination with insight into the legal profession through office exposure, practical activities, and engagement with legal professionals.
