Rany, a UK national, joined the White Collar Crime & Investigations practice of Al Tamimi & Company in 2023 after completing his training and qualification at a magic circle firm in London and Dubai. He pursued postgraduate studies in Law in 2019 before embarking on his legal career.
Previously, Rany has worked on various matters including DIFC commercial litigation, construction arbitration, and data protection regulatory advice. Since joining Al Tamimi & Company, he has been involved in a wide range of white-collar crime cases across multiple Middle Eastern jurisdictions. These include investigations, Interpol Red Notices and extradition cases, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, anti-bribery and corruption regulatory compliance advice, and the implementation of international best practices for drafting AML policies.
In his recent casework, Rany has advised on the implementation frameworks for domestic and international AML compliance requirements, drafted internal anti-fraud and anti-corruption policies for multinational companies in accordance with domestic laws and country risk profiles, conducted and prepared investigation reports, and assisted in extradition and red notice matters.
