Omar is an associate in the firm’s Dispute Resolution team. He is qualified to practice in Egypt and has experience in advising on various spectrums of the legal field including Arbitration, Litigation, Competition and Anti-trust matters in Egypt.
Omar built his experience working on complex arbitration matters and arbitration related court proceedings as he contributed to several matters involving Construction, Shareholders and Commercial disputes.
In addition to his arbitration experience, Omar is well versed in litigations spanning the economic, commercial, administrative, civil and criminal spectrum before Egyptian Courts. He also advises on competition and anti-trust matters which includes handling M&As notification forms before the Egyptian Competition Authority (ECA).
Prior to joining the private practice, Omar was working as a deputy public prosecutor at the attorney’s general office. During his time at the public prosecution, Omar had the chance to navigate through and handle complex criminal law cases starting from investigating the case until assuring a rightful conviction before the court in order to uphold the rights of victims and the rule of law.
