Omar Al Bakri has initially joined Al Tamimi & Company’s litigation department in Jordan where he has been exposed to several legal areas, specifically insurance, banking, transport, shipping, employment, and corporate laws, in which he represented the clients before the Jordanian courts. Omar has also partaken during his time as a litigator in advising governmental regulators in amending various laws as income tax laws and laws relating to mutual funds.
Omar has been reallocated to Al Tamimi & Company’s Corporate Structuring department in Dubai due to his primary exposure to commercial areas. During his time as a legal advisor in the Corporate Structuring department, he advised various clients in terms of establishing business presence in the UAE as a whole and had advised on registering, forming and dissolving business entities. Omar had gained an in-depth knowledge of the local regulations theoretically and from a practical perspective.
Omar contributed as well in advising free zone authorities in Dubai from a regulatory perspective. Omar has drafted bylaws, agreements and internal policies for companies to define legal rights and responsibilities of the company’s officers.
Due to Omar’s background in litigation, he has an analytical, problem solving and risk management mindset especially in terms of advising legally and finding solutions to unseen legal complications in a company’s business.
His clients include companies operating in the fields of healthcare, transport, education, technology, manufacturing and production, real estate and construction and charitable organizations.
