Amr is an Associate in Al Tamimi & Company’s Shipping & Maritime practice, where he focuses on shipping, commercial, and civil litigation. He advises clients on contentious and non-contentious matters, regularly drafting and reviewing contracts, memoranda, and pleadings, while also delivering tailored legal opinions on complex disputes.
Amr’s background combines both prosecutorial and shipping law expertise. Before joining Al Tamimi & Company, he worked with a leading shipping and P&I litigation firm in Egypt, where he handled a range of marine insurance and shipping disputes on behalf of P&I Clubs, shipowners, and operators. His work there gave him hands-on experience with claims involving cargo damage, collisions, personal injury, and marine pollution.
After that, Amr served for over five years as a Deputy Public Prosecutor in Egypt, where he was responsible for investigating and prosecuting serious criminal cases. This role sharpened his litigation skills, advocacy, and ability to manage high-stakes proceedings before the courts.
By combining his prosecutorial background with his shipping law experience, Amr brings a unique perspective to handling maritime disputes. He is particularly adept at building litigation strategies that balance technical legal knowledge with practical case management, ensuring effective outcomes for clients across the shipping and transport sectors.
