Al Tamimi & Company Boosts its Korea Capabilities with Partner Hire

Al Tamimi & Company has added Seung-Hyeon (Alex) Kim to its roster of highly experienced Partners. Alex joins as a Partner in the firms Korea Group and brings with him over 25 years’ experience of working with the South Korean public and private sector. This is the firm’s fourth new Partner hire already in 2023, with the Middle East and North Africa’s leading law firm having already promoted six lawyers to partner in January, taking the overall Partner count to over 90.

Alex will have a focus on growth and development of Al Tamimi & Company’s Korea Group. Established in 2012, the group is the firm’s dedicated resource that supports and advises Korean companies with their legal requirements when doing business in the Middle East and North Africa. Alex will join a team that boasts market leading knowledge, expertise and Korea language capability. The group has a deep-rooted familiarity of the Korean corporate culture, and this is combined with firm’s local intelligence and proficiency of advising companies entering and establishing operations in the region.

The new partner has significant experience in advising major Korean engineering, construction, and manufacturing companies on projects across the East Asian region. He also brings to Al Tamimi & Company significant experience of working in a variety of legal areas, including – International arbitration and litigation, construction, energy, and project finance.
