Biography

Noor is a Partner the Head of Litigation practice at Al Tamimi & Company in Bahrain with over fourteen years’ experience in Bahrain and GCC countries. She has the right of attendance before Bahraini Courts up to the Cassation and Constitutional Courts which are the highest courts in Bahrain. She has advised and represented local and international clients including banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, oil & gas, construction companies and other commercial local companies in both litigation and arbitration disputes. She has consistently advised and represented government, semi-government as well as private clients in relation to ad hoc and institutional arbitration, international and domestic arbitration proceedings.

Noor’s experience includes acting and advising on general banking and commercial law arbitrations, compliance and regulatory matters, contractual disputes, maritime law, banking disputes, commercial agency matters, court procedures, emergency measures, injunctive reliefs. She regularly drafts and reviews litigation and arbitration documents and written pleadings, claim writs and other types of submissions, raising appeals and all litigation related services.

She is one of the most senior, well known and recognised practitioners in the Bahraini market with deep experience to lead complex cross-border cases and large-scale sophisticated litigations.   • Representing a GCC branch of an international entity in obtaining a precedent from the Court of Cassation that affirms an important legal principle by confirming that a contract -when demonstrated as simulated- may not establish any rights or obligations upon its parties.
  • Representing an international entity in establishing a ground breaking precedent from the Court of Cassation declaring that judgements issued by the Courts of Singapore may be enforced in Bahrain in the same manner Bahrani judgements are enforced in Singapore based on reciprocity doctrine.
  • Representing a client (the employer) in a claim filed by a subcontractor against both the Main Contractor and employer for compensation and were successful in obtaining final judgement up to the Cassation Court dismiss the claims against our client.
