Biography

Carla Saliba is Senior Counsel in the Corporate Commercial practice in Dubai.

Carla Saliba holds an LL.M (Masters) degree in the United States legal studies from Case Western Reserve University / School of Law.  She graduated from Saint Joseph University, Beirut, Lebanon and she is a member of the Beirut Bar Association. Prior to joining Al Tamimi & Co, Carla has worked with Abouhamad, Merheb, Nohra, Chamaoun, Chedid Law Firm one of the leading law firm in Lebanon.  She joined Al Tamimi & Co in March 2006.

Carla has been extensively involved in major M&A, Corporate restructuring family business, IPO and other capital market transactions in the UAE.

  • Advising Dubai Financial Market PJSC in the acquisition of a controlling interest in NASDAQ Dubai, a stock exchange registered and operating in the Dubai International Financial Centre.
  • Advising SHUAA Capital PSC on a transaction concerning sale of a strategic holding in Rotana Hotels, a leading Middle Eastern hotel management company.
  • Advising on corporate and family restructuring. Corporate and family governance, due diligence and public and private joint stocks governance.
  • The A major multinational beverage company on the acquisition of half the equity in the Aujan beverage brands and Aujan bottling business in 9 countries for USD 980 million.
