Biography
Sofiane has over 10 years of legal and tax advisory experience advising prestigious clients on all matters related to tax law, tax litigation, commercial companies’ law, investment law, commercial litigation and pricing. He has expertise on providing strategic tax and legal advice on commercial transactions, liquidation, and incorporating entities.
Sofiane’s strength also cover the ability to assist clients on the incorporation and liquidation process and provide an oriented legal advice on the scope of branch in Qatar, de-registration process. He has worked with both clients registered under different legal frameworks (QFC, QFZA) as well as non-resident entities.
Sofiane gained extensive experience from previous big four firms where he specialised in tax and legal consultations and drafting both contentious and non-contentious legal documents.
Recent Experience
- Haskoning DV international, a Dutch engineering consultancy company, on the liquidation process into of their business in Qatar (Branch and a local entity).
- Al Tayer Group, a UAE group with a diversified portfolio of business, on the liquidation assistance of the local entity based in Qatar and tax advisory work.
- Rosneft Qatar (QSTP), a Russian integrated energy company, provided the client legal advisory work related to employment regulation.
