Siri Hashem is a shipping and maritime lawyer based in Al Tamimi & Company’s Eastern Province office in Al Khobar.
With extensive experience in handling negotiation and settlement of all types of claims including insurance claims, cargo claims, aviation cargo claims and charterparty claims. Siri has solid field experience in arbitration preparation regarding ship-owners, insurance companies, traders and P&I clubs. He is also regularly advising clients in relation to customs related enquiries, procedures and disputes.
Siri’s experience extends to Litigating all types of shipping and insurance matters in the UAE (including cargo claims, insurance claims (motor insurance, marine insurance, fire insurance, life insurance and other types of insurance) collision claims, chartering claims, ship arrest and ship repair claims) and successfully litigating commercial cases in the UAE including tort claims and contract claims. He also represents local and international shipping and insurance clients in the UAE. He is specialised In preparing contracts of sales of ships, registry and insurance, in addition to his wide knowledge in drafting and analyzing contractual terms including insurance policies, shipbuilding, ship agency, ship management and carriage of goods (by sea and land) contracts including all types of charterparties.
Siri worked for several years as a marine legal consultant for the largest shipping group in Jordan (ship owners, charterers, ship agents and shipping lines agents) beside other large raw material exporting companies.

- Advising in relation to the inspection of goods process and acceptance of discharge for grain cargo in Saudi Arabia.
