Head of our Jeddah office, Rakesh Bassi is a dedicated corporate and commercial lawyer who has extensive experience in corporate and commercial matters particularly in JVs, M&A, outsourcing, supply of goods and services, IP, IT, IPOs, offerings/ placements etc.
Rakesh has over 15 years experience, having worked previously at international law firms such as DLA Piper, Clifford Chance and Hogan & Hartson in Saudi Arabia and Norton Rose and Hogan’s in London.
He currently facilitates both inward and outward investments to and from KSA, as well as advising on Saudi corporate and commercial transactions. He is well known for his expertise and insights in Saudi joint ventures, acquisitions, restructurings and commercial transactions.
Rakesh has worked with various multinational entities, Saudi conglomerates, Saudi listed companies, financial institutions and PLCs in various industries including renewable energy, petrochemical, bottling, steel manufacturing, drilling, education, retail, automobile, aviation, oil & gas, printing, automobile, property (investment and development), hotels and hospitality, media & press, IT, medical, pharma, telecoms, construction and travel etc. He has also developed a niche in FCPA investigations and anti-bribery practices having been asked to conduct such inquiries for investors in KSA.
