Daniel is a qualified lawyer in Egypt and an Associate in Al Tamimi & Company’s Corporate Commercial Department with a primary focus on the Sports Law and Events Management practice group.
Daniel has a wide array of experience representing clients in contentious and non-contentious matters relating to sports, employment and commercial law. His practice includes representing high-profile professional athletes, coaches, player agents, intermediaries, clubs and sports bodies.
A key focus of Daniel’s practice is the representation of athletes and clubs before dispute resolution and arbitration committees within national sports federations, regional sports federations, international sports federations and the Court of Arbitration for Sports in matters relating to transfer agreements, intermediaries, anti-doping, match fixing and disciplinary sanctions.
Prior to joining Al Tamimi & Company, Daniel practiced sports law in the UAE for approximately four years and before that, his practice included handling cross-jurisdictional matters between Egypt and France.
- Representing African and Asian Athletes in Anti-doping and Match fixing matters.
- Representing Al Sharjah Football Club in Arbitration proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) and advising the Club on numerous transfers and employment agreements.
- Representing Al Dhafra Football Club in disputes before the committees of the UAE Football Association, FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber and FIFA Player’s Status Committee.
- Advising the Abu Dhabi Sports Council on commercial matters, sponsorship agreements and hosting international sports events.
