Aida has more than three years of legal experience. Prior to joining Al Tamimi & Company, Aida worked with leading international firms both in London and in Muscat. Having qualified in the Omani jurisdiction, Aida is admitted before the Omani courts and has right of audience before the primary court.
Aida works closely with the Intellectual Property department, advising clients on the protection of their trademarks and patents by registering them at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, drafting oppositions related to the infringement of trademarks, drafting statements of appeals, drafting legal notices, dealing with customs matter, handling trademark litigation advisory and advising on Competition Law and copyright laws in Oman.
She also has vast experience in corporate commercial and restructuring matters across a range of sectors many of which are cross border. Aida possesses experience in corporate governance, mergers and acquisition, advising and conducting restructuring at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and incorporation of entities such as limited liability companies, joint ventures and closed joint stock companies in Oman. Aida also possess experience in advising on some aspects of the healthcare system in Oman and holds a good relationship with the Ministry of Health.
