Tarek is a Partner in the Litigation Department of Al Tamimi & Company and based in the DIFC. Tarek spent the first five years of his career at an international law firm in London, followed by several years in-house.
Tarek advises clients on a wide range of disputes and specialises in banking and financial services disputes, shareholder disputes and real estate disputes. He has a particular focus on jurisdiction, enforcement and governing law issues.
In addition to handling disputes before the DIFC Courts, Tarek also works on cases heard by the Dubai Courts and on arbitrations. He also sits as an arbitrator.
After graduating in Law & European Law from the University of Exeter, Tarek obtained a Masters Degree at the University of the Saarland before completing the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School in 2002.
