Salma Basset is an Associate in the Corporate Structuring practice in Egypt.
Salma joined the firm in 2014, prior to this she worked for Tahoun Law firm from 2012.
She has experience in company and commercial work in Egypt and has been involved in preparing and drafting numerous types of commercial agreements (including production, purchase, sale, marketing, advertising, assignment, lease).
Salma has experience in advising on and preparing all documentation necessary for corporate secretarial work for corporations in Egypt (including boards and general assemblies) and has experience in due diligence processes, drafting of reports according to applicable laws including Capital Market Law, Environmental Law, Intellectual Property Law, Labour Law, Social Insurance Law, executive summaries and high level issues reports.
Salma has experience in Egyptian Labour Law and drafting of employment and secondment contracts. She assisted in advising multinational companies in respect of labour issues including termination of employment contracts and providing amicable solutions. She also provides continuous advice to foreign companies on the labour requirements and issuance of work permits.
Salma is experienced in establishing and managing offshore companies and advised clients on various issues relating to agency, distribution agreements, companies incorporation and general corporate matters and also is engaged in due diligence reviews, mergers acquisitions and transactions.
- Assisting WPP and J. Walter Thompson Egypt (JWT) in their arrangements with the Egyptian Government in respect of the organization of the Economic Development Conference.
- Advising J Walter Thompson Egypt (JWT) on intellectual property related matters including drafting and negotiating of advertising and marketing agreements.
- Revising and drafting various agreements for TN Holding (Tarek Nour) with regard to Al Rakesah T.V program and other T.V advertisements.
