Karim Shiyab is a senior associate in our Banking & Finance Department in Dubai – DIFC. Karim mostly assists in secured financing transactions that involve corporate borrowers located in the UAE (including different UAE free zones). He is in direct contact with a number of our clients (banks) and as such responds to some of their daily queries in addition to participating in the drafting of various types of security packages tailored to the nature of each transaction.
Karim initially joined Al Tamimi’s Doha office where he took part in a variety of transactions including the merger of two publicly listed shipping companies, the issuance of Islamic Sukuk (bonds), and secured facility arrangements involving publically listed shares, before being transferred to our DIFC office.
Finally, Karim is a dual French – Jordanian national and has very good communication skills.
