ADCCAC SEMINAR HELD IN AL TAMIMI’S ABU DHABI OFFICE
Senior Associate Justin Ede’s presentation focused on the new rules for ADCCAC and covered all the important changes that came into force on 1 September 2013.
The presentation‘s main focus was on how those changes in the rules reflect on the practice. Justin began by a clarifying key terms and definitions. It was then noted that changes have been made in relation to the initiation process particularly to allow the arbitration process to run at a time-tight schedule; therefore grounding the possibility of a quicker procedure.
The seminar highlighted that the new rules are a major advancement for arbitration before ADCCAC, providing a modern set of principles that broadly embrace the approach of established sets of rules such as the ICC and DIAC.
